Wheel Trundling in Surrey - A Unique Competition.
Last Saturday the employees of Messers. Chalmers, coach builders, of Redhill, took part in a novel competition. It took the form of a wheel-trundling race from Redhill to Horley and back. Our photograph shows the start of the sixteen competitors, who all raced under a sealed handicap. The winner, J. Pullen, covered the distance, 4.25 miles, in 1 hour 11 min 5 sec.
