I boarded for a few weeks when there was a emergency in the family. Luckily I had a torch to use so I could read in bed! I had to be one step ahead of the Nuns so I wouldn't get caught. Looks like the dormotories hadn't altered that much when I stayed!!!

Oh my god these pictures bring back many memories.I went to St.Josephes convent as a day pupil from 1951 to 1957.I boarded for 2 weeks at the age of 6yrs old while my mum had my brother eamon.I remember the long steps down ,I fell down them.

I bordered from 1965-1967. It looks quite the same. Except there was a wall in between cubicles. For more privacy, a sink, wardrobe, chest of drawers, night table.
